I was a detective or something, since I wasn't in a police uniform, just my normal clothes. Me and a group of cops and detectives and such were sent to the house of a serial killer. The house was a small one story house with an attic and the killer guy used it as a rental house.
The last family he rented it out to were religious, the husband some sort of priest or something. As we searched the house some of their belongings were left behind, mainly mail, Christmas decorations and photos.
I walked through the house and entered a room with all these old small appliances in them, like old microwaves and old toasters. In the back of the room was a stacked washer and dryer that had been turned into a cabinet somehow. I pulled open the front and it revealed a safe. I said something like "And... there it is!" as I motioned to the safe. The other cops just stared at me, like I did nothing huge, and asked me what I was talking about. I was annoyed and pointed to the safe, which they still didn't see. I then had to yell "It's a safe" to get them to notice it. I rolled my eyes and continued searching the house.
In the back corner of the house was a small closet. I opened it and looked inside a small paper bag that was on a shelf. Inside of it were letters with prayers and wishes and stuff written on them. I showed them to my captain and he was very interested in them. This was when I found out who had once rented the house and that these letters were sent to the priest, as he was seen as some miracle holy guy.
My captain figured that the serial killer got all these letters after the family had moved and that it angered him, so he was out looking for the family. He told me to go somewhere, so I left the house and jumped in my car and drove off. As I drove away from the house one of those old and very long Lincolns or Cadillacs that was white passed me. I found it suspicious, so I radioed into my captain about the car. A quick search on the plates was done and they found it was nobody.
I had to go to the bathroom, so I stopped off at an Arby's to use theirs. The bathrooms were down this really long hallway. And then when I walked inside of the bathroom it was huge, a maze of stalls that I had to walk through. I wandered around and found one to my liking and got inside. I closed the door and locked it and saw a single leather working glove on the floor.
I freaked out because apparently that was the calling card of the serial killer, leaving behind one item that had to do with construction, since that was the work he did. I backed away from the glove slowly and then frantically unlocked the door and ran out. As I got to one of the doors I passed through I saw one of those flimsy face masks on the floor. I ran through the door and saw something out of the corner of my eye. I looked over my shoulder and from above one of the stall doors I saw the top of a bright blue clown-type afro wig, the killer always dressed like a clown when he killed his victims.
That made me freak out more and I ran out of the second doorway into the hall and ran to my car, getting on the radio and telling my captain what had happened. He said that the killer uses police radios to see where the police are and that he was using my radio to follow me and that I had to turn it off and get out of there.
And then sadly I woke up.
